چکیده

Wear resistance of brake discs has a significant effect on the safety high-speed trains. In this work, rolling–sliding wear low-carbon martensitic disc steel was investigated. The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties from worn surface to matrix were analyzed promote parameters for application steel. results indicated that ratcheting strain zone formed at under asymmetric cycling load presented morphology plastic flow line. An equation between shear depth established, which reflected gradient distribution strain. martensite lath refined into nano/sub-micron grain strip topmost surface. micron scratch test exhibited hardening rate fracture toughness varied continually along with depth, highest occurred due increase dislocation density refinement. Additionally, obtained better than other wear-resistant materials used railways having in zone.

Temperature Field and Thermal Stress Analyses of High-Speed Train Brake Disc Under Pad Variations

Transient heat transfer analysis of disc brake has been performed to find out an ideal shape of pad geometry. The analysis has taken frictional heat between brake disc and pads as heat flux onto the friction surface, the disc and the pad's temperature fields then were explored involving thermal conduction, forced convection and surface radiation effects. The disc thermal expansion stress was th...

Study on Friction and Wear Properties of Pantograph Strip/Copper Contact Wire for High-Speed Train

A series of experiments on friction and wear properties of carbon strip rubbing against copper contact wire is performed on high-speed friction and wear tester with electric current. The results show that the friction coefficient is generally maintained between 0.24 and 0.37. In the absence of electric current, the coefficient of friction is higher than that in the presence of electric current....
